A Life of Trauma and Tragedy (Possibly Triggering Content)

Re: A Life of Trauma and Tragedy (Possibly Triggering Content)

Thank you dear @Eve7 for your very kind words. I dont feel like any of those things right now though. I just feel very lost and defeated. 💖

My dear friend @Emelia8

I thought this was why you retreated hun. I'm so sorry you feel like this. You happen to be one of the most beautiful and supportive friends of mine and I am grateful for your presence. Please know thatvwe are here for you. Is this your thread? If so I'll save it to be able to touch base with you. Big hugs xxxx

Re: A Life of Trauma and Tragedy (Possibly Triggering Content)

Thank you @Anastasia  💖 its so nice having you around the forums. Yes, this is my personal 'My Story' thread, which I opened upon my return to the forums. Thank you for the hug and your lovely words  .. it actually caused me to break down in tears. Not in a bad way, but because I felt that you understood and cared. Thank you.

I totally understand hunny. The reason why I don't share a lot of my story is for fear of upsetting others. Love you ♥️

Re: A Life of Trauma and Tragedy (Possibly Triggering Content)

Hi @Emelia8  you are definitely an appreciated part of my community.  Sorry to hear of your sadness and sense of not being safe here atm.  I had a similar experience a long time ago and what I do now still is scroll past that person's posts and if I need to I leave certain threads.  It's my way of having boundaries that mean I can maintain my involvement with the forums.  We can't please all the people all the time, especially in such a diverse group as the forum users.

Hope you feel reassured by the support you have here.  I care too xoxo

You have been here for so long and supported so many.  I felt pummelled a lot in the early days of the forum.  I am learning to speak up, but also not engage where I do not feel appreciated.  Try and shake off the bad feelings like a puppy after a swim.  Firm up your inner armour. Dont let other's stuff erode your peace. It is bad enough having to deal with family in an accident. Being on here can sometimes be like the path of the warrior.

Re: A Life of Trauma and Tragedy (Possibly Triggering Content)

Hey there @Emelia8, we're sorry you're having such a hard time at the moment. As you know we take the alluding to member guideline very seriously as it can be very disruptive to the community. It's important we determine whether you're alluding to a staff member or another forum member. As you know alluding to another member is a guideline break - it is really important that you respond to the e-mails sent by our mods this morning so we can get to the bottom of this. Please get in touch as soon as you can via team@saneforums.org
