Re: HOME

@soul. I was lucky to get two easy to park on spaces. Got to my psychiatrist 2 hours early. So they got me in an hr early - by swapping my time with an earlier person.
Was hard driving a car 2 & 1/2 hours each way with no radio or cd working. That was the worst bit of the day.
My psychiatrist wrote me a script for some meds to help stop the craving for alcohol. Hopefully that works.
I got the painting home. It is huge. Haven't unwrapped the bubble wrap yet. Need to get some new hooks tomorrow and then I can take a photo. You'll have to wait til tomorrow.
I'm exhausted from the long day. Not really fussed on celebrating my birthday. Turned 47 today. Not a big year.
Hope your day went well. Talk to you tomorrow

Re: HOME

Good morning @utopia. Glad you made it there and back safely. Did you sing as you were driving? Good that you were able to get that earlier appointment and save some time.

No wonder you were tired. That was a big day out. When is your next appointment? Hope the meds work out well for you. How has the drinking been?

So the grand unveiling of the painting is today. It will be a nice feeling to see it up on your wall. You should do this 😆

Re: HOME

@soul. I slept for a good 10 to 11 hours last night. That driving and stress took it out of me.
I still go to AA meetings at least once a week. But I'm drinking almost every day. So hopefully these new meds will reduce the cravings. I really do have to stop drinking. But it's so bloody hard at the moment.
I'm waiting for the sun to poke her head through the clouds & then take a picture of the painting. I might just take a photo of it leaning against the wall.
To be unveiled soon.
Oh and I did try and sing in the car - but I had an annoying song stuck in my head. And when I'd go to sing other songs - I realized I really only know the choruses. Lol. So there was a lof of humming.

Humming is good @utopia ..... 🌷💕

Re: HOME

How are you doing @utopia. Hope you spent the day resting. Looking forward to seeing your new painting when you're able to put a pic up.

You mentioned that you had someone who was partnering with you in the drinking issue. Is that being helpful?

Hope to catch up with you soon. Sweet dreams.

Re: HOME

@soul. My best friend hasn't stopped drinking at all. I have to do it myself. Saturday I pick up my new meds which are meant to help me stop drinking. Forgot tomorrow is a public holiday in Victoria - so no chemist open.
I'll photograph the painting tomorrow.

Re: HOME

Sorry to hear that your friend can't offer you some support there @utopia. I do hope the meds can help you take the edge off the problem. Have a good day. Anything planned? And for the weekend?

Re: HOME

Hi @Faith-and-Hope  - hope your trip across the country is going well for you.

Re: HOME

Different location different location to be treading water in really @soul .... but no real dramas so far, other than not being able to walk far.  Have to see how this ligament behaves today.

I brought plenty of reading material with me .... so that's good.  Help to keep my mind-chatter down to a dull roar ... lol ....
