Good evening @RedHorse @TAB @pinklollipop15 @Meowmy @MDT @Shaz51 @Eve7 @Dimity @Aniela @Codex1 @Daisydreamer @Former-Member @tyme @Former-Member @cloudcore and all forumites here. Well done on all of your achievements everyone. I’m so proud of you!
@Shaz51 i hope you feel better soon!
@RedHorse @TAB I can understand your motivation issues at the moment with getting things done. I’ve also been struggling lately with this and it’s gotten worse since restrictions have been operating in Melbourne over the past 2 years with me struggling to leave the house at times. I’ve now decided to work with this as of tonight by listing things down that I can do at home (I’ve quit on campus Tafe and have applied to do the mental health course online but won’t find out if I’ve been successful for at least another 3 weeks for the course to start in April) and trying to allocate time during each day to do those things so I don’t waste the day trying to sleep to fill in time. I call them mini goals with things like allocating time to knit my blanket and beanies for charity (for example an hour or 2 each day) to spending time here on the forums to reading a book that I told my psychologist about and which I have to have finished by the 18/3. Things like that to help pass the day and to have a routine of sorts. At least that’s the overarching goal of it all to help with my boredom during each day. I’ll keep you all posted as to how it goes!
Anyhow, today (Tuesday) I achieved the following things:
- I did some SANE community guide reading of an orientation booklet and posted on the allocated forum area
- I worked on my 12 ball blanket
- I wrote down a list of things I can do at home when I get bored
- I took meds
- I watched the 6pm news and Home and Away
- I listened to music on my iPhone
- I checked out my emails and sent an email to Tafe withdrawing officially from on campus classes
- I emailed my student counsellor about my next appointment time and date which was the wrong date and needed changing
- I updated my email address for my car registration
- I applied for a position for the federal election as a voting official for the day of the election (I’ve done the job before and it’s pretty good money for 1 day)
Take care!
