Re: Life and trauma

@MJG017 glad you have had a good time.

I'm not going good, I've just taken some tablets so I can sleep. Feeling pretty dizzy and sick right about now, I can't keep my eyes open and I'm dozing off.

Hi, i'm doing okay thanks.  I haven't been around a lot as i haven't really done much at all this week.  Just one of those weeks where everything feels a bit 'on top of me'.  But i'm managing through.

How have you been?  Do you have your followup with the Doctor on Monday?  I hope you've managed some sleep and that there has been some improvement with the panic attacks.

Re: Life and trauma

@MJG017 glad you are ok. Sorry it's been a bit of a rough week for you.

I'm doing ok, yesterday was a relatively good day but it all came crashing down late last night, but i made it through somehow.

Yes I have my appointment on Monday and the ndis one on Tuesday so that's going to take alot out of me. I'm still barely sleeping and the panic attacks haven't changed.

What have you got planned for the day?

I forced myself off tho couch and down to the PC because I have to do a print for that art group thread @Oaktree started.  I don't really have art pens, just black/blue pens, pencils, and a couple of highlighters that probably dried up a long time ago.  I thought about building it in Lego, but that would mean taking all my models apart for pieces and that's not happening. 😁

I do have some acrylic paints that i bought for painting some models and an airbrush i bought last year when i discovered painting wasn't really turning out how i liked.  So i thought that rather than draw that polar bear, I would do it as a flat 3D model and 3D print it.  So it's printing now but will take about 1hr and 10mins due to all the colour changes the printer needs to make with the model having 4 colours.  It ramps up the time to print an object quite significantly.  Every colour change requires the print to retract the current filament, feed the new one, pure any old colour left in the nozzle, clean the nozzle and resume printing.  Thankfully it's all automatic and I don't have to do anything but it all takes a while.  It's feeling warm already so i might go out and vacuum the pool a bit and take a dip.  Probably play with Luna for a bit as well 😁

I hope you have some luck with the NDIS as I really think it will help a lot with giving you access to more supports.  My partner works with clients on the NDIS since it started and so I know it can be a bit of a fight to get on it sometimes but hopefully it's smooth sailing for you.  If you have any issues, let me know and i can ask her if she has any advice.  Good luck with it all.

Re: Life and trauma

@MJG017 well done for moving from the couch. I have plenty of gel pens, pencils, textas and fine liners. You like Lego?

3d printing it sounds awesome and i can't wait to see the finished product. It's definitely warm today, I'm about to head to officeworks to get some painting stuff and I'm dreading going outside. Just rub it in having a pool 😂.

How is Luna going, have the others accepted her yet?

Thankyou, I'm hoping it's not too hard to get onto it but there's so much information that they need and my doctor is trying to get it all together.

I used to love the 'space' lego as a kid.  A few years ago i started getting back into it with small car models.  But when I became sick and realised one of the bonuses was there was no need to keep saving for retirement, i started getting the bigger ones.  Here is the last one I did, last month.

Earlier last year I also did the space shuttle...

My partner is allergic to most flowers so I bought her one of the flower sets.  She became just as addicted and now has pretty much all of them!  Then they release a cat one!  Thankfully there's only been one cat one so far, otherwise I'd have to get her all of those al well! 😂

The bamboo is one of the new ones I bought the other day.

I've uploaded the photo of the polar bear in the art thread ans I tagged you in so you could see it.

There is a mutual understanding with all the cats now.  I just had two of them face to face.  Luna decided to have a little swipe at him and got one back and he walked off.  She was playing with the other one on the cat tower the other day so there's been a lot of progress.

Good luck with Officeworks.  Just go straight to the pens and arts isle and lose yourself there.  I hope they're not too far, it does seem to be getting warm out there.

There's is plenty of information, and even support services, out there for navigation signing up to the NDIS.  Like I said, hopefully it all goes well for you, but if you do need some advice/tips, let me know and I can ask around and see what I can find out for you.
