Re: Newbie's Social Club - Come make some friends!

Hello all

I’m new to here. My Certificate IV in Mental Health (Peer Support) required I contribute to strengths based and recovery oriented support. I have Autism and looking at ADHD but I am treated as if I were with a Psychotic condition. I would welcome your input as I am moving forward in every day I can. Kind regards

Thank you. I’ve introduced myself over there

Re: Newbie's Social Club - Come make some friends!

Hey everyone 💗💗

thanks for the welcome

Im 24 and currently just come out of a very debilitating psychotic episode that started November last year and had led me to a month long hospital stay in a mental health facility and off work for 3 months. I’ve just been diagnosed officially with bipolar 1 and it’s so difficult coming to terms with it and the fact I have to take medication for decades to come but I’m glad I found these forums so hopefully I can feel less alone with the things I’ve been through even just reading through them is helpful!

Re: Newbie's Social Club - Come make some friends!

Welcome to the forums! I hear where you are coming from @Sweet123

Accepting the fact that you need to take medication can be a difficult one. I think what helped me was, do I prefer to take meds and be well, or not take meds and not live life?

Then the choice was easy.

I look forward to connecting with you more on the forums!
