Morning has broken

Re: Morning has broken

Today was exhausting @tyme  I am back home, Australia is a big country.

Re: Morning has broken

Hearing you @Eve7 !

Aust sure is BIG! Considering we've only trekked parts.

Don't you travel a lot because of your sport as well? Or even in the past? Do you ever go overseas for it?

Re: Morning has broken

Good evening @tyme 😀

Glad to hear you're safely home @Eve7 💕👍. I hope you get a restful sleep tonight.

I expect you heard, if not seen, the final of the men's 200 metres. Sadly Kennedy broke and was DQd. Gout won easily with a great sub 20 sec (19.84) time. But, damn it, it was once again wind assisted. He has had no luck at all with the wind. I think he is creating the wind. No other races have been wind assisted. 😧. Such a shame. It was only just over the legal limit too. Oh well. He will have many other chances.

Was super happy to see Peter Bol back in the winners circle as well.

Re: Morning has broken

@Eve7 hope you had a nice sleep in your own bed!

Sending lots of 💕💕

Hi @Emelia8 some great races happening at the athletics

Re: Morning has broken

Thanks @Snowie I stayed last night at S1's in Brisbane but tonight will be in my bed. Raining here today so I miss the Perth sunshine.

Hope your day goes well xox

@Emelia8 yes, I was always backing Gout for the 200m but didn't expect Lachie to be dq'd. It will be interesting to see if they both run at Stawell. Good race by Peter Bol and he did get the National record!

@tyme I have been overseas with sport. I was at World Uni Games in Taiwan and a world cup event in Rome that started on the cobble stones outside the Coliseum. I was a spectator at Barcelona and Atlanta OG then officiated at GC Comm Games and Sydney 2000 OG. Very fortunate.

Re: Morning has broken

Melb weather can't make up it's mind. Had the heater on the other day and then the air con on yesterday!!

Well I hope you sleep well tonight then.

When are you going away next?

Re: Morning has broken

I go away Thursday week to Adelaide and then on The Ghan to Darwin @Snowie .

Appointment with GP tomorrow to get some new scripts as I'm running out of prn, hopefully she'll oblige and won't ask how much I've been taking.

What do you have on this week?

Re: Morning has broken

The Ghan to Darwin sounds like a fabulous trip @Eve7! So much rich countryside to look at.
I have friends in Alice springs who use to work on the Ghan when it went through town and when I visited them they took me on board to have a look. It was pretty cool!
I think my mum wants to take my brother for a trip on it cause he loves trains.

how long is the trip for?

hopefully you can get all the scripts you need

Re: Morning has broken

I hope your gp appt. goes well @Eve7

Hopefully they don't ask too many questions. I know how that feels.

Not much on this week. Mum's got a few appointments this week.

Re: Morning has broken

The Ghan only goes for 3 days @Bow and then I have 3 days in Darwin and I have a couple of tours booked in Alice Springs during the stopover.

I’m spending a few days in Adelaide with family before going on The Ghan too so plenty to look forward to.
