Re: My special place

@Snowie - I live for adventures & love mysteries so your adventure sounds really exciting. It also sounds like it be a nice for you to get away from the home environment where everything is happening & challenging to just try to be a family. I look forward to following your mystery adventures. You take care of yourself

Re: My special place

Hi @Snowie. Nice to meet you to.

How are you going. Getting there around the forums. Its confusing but getting there. Just dont know where im allowed to to talk in some threads or not.

Re: My special place

Hi @Jojo2

It is super confusing at the start. You can talk on nay thread you want. Some people like to stick to certain threads that they have started, but that does not mean you cannot use that thread either.

You are welcome to write on here whenever you want/need to.

Re: My special place

Enjoy! @Snowie would love to hear of your adventures

Re: My special place

Well we are still driving! Stopped in a little country pub for dinner. There were 12 of us all together and coped quite well. We are travelling with people we know quite well. They don't know all my circumstances but know I am off work so is a bit easier. So about another 3 hours of driving ahead of us. Well hubby driving, me writing on here😁😁

Re: My special place

Re: My special place

Thank @Snowie

Re: My special place

Well we finally got to our destination. Spent yesterday looking around and went to a a place where they had all different things on display. Think if I said anymore I would give in away. Kids had a good time. Spent the afternoon swimming. This morning we had a bit of a sleep in. Now we are enjoying having some time close to a river where the kids are having a splash in the river

Re: My special place

@Snowie

I Snowie

I have only just reviewed your thread and apologies for the delayed response. I so adore your puppy picture and hope that such a beautiful creature is providing warmth to you and the difficulties in your life.

I am hopeful that this may help you. Nightmares are certainly hideous and mine are incessant, active and alive. According to HB I fight in my sleep, fists punching, legs flaying and I awaken feeling like dirt. They are vivid, although dissipate as the day progresses, I just recognise the emotional aftermath. There is extremely strong theory that supports the experience of nightmares as a method of guiding the subconsious mind to attain relief. The experience susequently embeds the truama into consciousness and allows the mind to embed the trauma into long term memory, providing relief.

Please allow self compassion - it is deserved by us all.

With many thoughts and thankyous for the kindness and support I recieve on this forum.
