Life challenges

Re: Life challenges

@rav3n

I've always loved fantasy books as well.  Going on a journey through a strange land with the characters and feeling like I was there with them was always so addictive for me.  I always knew I was enjoying a story if I caught myself forgetting I was reading a book and thinking I was there looking around with the sights decribed all around me.

Re: Life challenges

@MJG017being in nature feels wonderful.

I've never felt like I belonged in this world even when I tried hard to fit in. That's why it's nice to feel that connection with people here.

I'm thankful to have you and everyone here to sit with and chat to you while I'm going through this.

Re: Life challenges

@Hopeandlove , Have you used chatgpt before? I'm trying to create your picture for you. The picture you shared about being in the rainforest.

We are so glad to be here with you.

Re: Life challenges

@tyme no I haven't heard of it. I like that idea 💙.

I'm thankful to be here with you

Re: Life challenges

@Hopeandlove I am glad you are imagining my surroundings. I hoped to describe it to you so you could have some pleasant nature visualisations.

Unfortunately it’s often cold in hospitals, keep asking for those warmed blankets so you can feel cozy and warm.

@Snuggles and @Hopeandlove I am so lucky to have this beautiful environment. Both of my dogs loved it too. I have to be careful with the possum as she often rests on top of the roller door! When I first got here it was a ringtail and her baby. After a few years a brush tail moved in.  Maybe you’ll have to borrow Wind in the Willows from the library @Snuggles

@MJG017 I also love looking at the stars I think it gives me a bit of perspective and that maybe my problems aren’t as big as they sometimes seem.

@rav3n we we’re discussing our love of nature earlier, I love the sound of waves.

@Hopeandlove I hope you can transfer some of our descriptions to around your bed, so you can be comforted by nature.

When I used to stare at the plain ceiling every day for 8 weeks of radiotherapy I thought about having some scenes to look at. So when I finished radiotherapy I bought some for the department, one of them was of waves, so the other patients could hopefully have some nature to comfort them

Re: Life challenges

That's totally okay that you don't want to start a new thread @Hopeandlove

We can celebrate here 🙂

Here is your scene based on your words:

Re: Life challenges

@Hopeandlove

No one should ever have to go through this alone.  So I'm sure we all feel the same in that we're more than happy to sit here with you and do what we can to make you feel less alone.  It's the very least you deserve.

Re: Life challenges

@MJG017 @Hopeandlove love getting lost in a book! i've stopped reading books in public though... one time i was reading on the train and caught myself making too many facial expressions which apparently embarrassed my sister 😆 it's hard to read a good book with a straight face!

Re: Life challenges

@Hopeandlove , this is YOUR space. How would you like us to celebrate your life with you?

Re: Life challenges

Hi @tyme

That image is so peaceful.  I hope @Hopeandlove that it brings you peace.
