If you cut him off, will that help you stop thinking about him @Matty19901 ?
Do you feel it will support your mental health and wellbeing if you cut all ties with him?
I hear your fear in that you don't wat to turn out like him. In seeing how unfairly he treated you, maybe that is what will stop you turning out like that?
What are your hesitancies for is you do or don't disconnect with him?
Sorry for all the questions. I'm quite curious.

@tyme by disconnecting from him means I won't have to talk to him again. It's too late I'm already like him I see it every single day now I've noticed it and I don't know how to change it and that's what scares me most

Whilst you may have his genes, it doesn't mean you are destined to be the same @Matty19901 Remember, much of who we are is dependent on our surroundings. If you have a supportive environment, it can lead to real benefits.
Seeing you can see and aware how much you don't like parts of who you are becoming, is there someone you can talk to to work through these?
It's never too late.

Have I passed on the link to SANE's Guided Recovery yet https://www.sane.org/referral
Check to see if you are eligible. You deserve to be supported to work through this. It sounds so tough.
I have to acknowledge that you are aware, and that makes all the difference as to the recovery trajectory.
It's those who are oblivious which make it harder.

Oh, what a shame @Matty19901 .
Or your own mental health, if it's do-able in the future, I guess you do not have to pay for the support.
It sounds like talking to someone might be helpful for you.
How are you today anyway?
