Morning @Shaz51, @Jynx , @Neuro_Spicy , @Jay5 , @tyme

When took back my mobile phone account from the narcissist, [company name removed by moderator] wanted my title 😐 Why do companies insist upon titles?
A man’s title never changes regardless of the martial status, he is always a Mr.

A woman’s title is designated by wether or not she is married = Mrs or Miss with the option of Ms. I wonder when Ms originated?

In a society where we can be gender neutral and have marriage equality, why do companies and other organisations still use gender titles?

Re: Wait what did I come into this thread for again? Oh yeah, ADHD!

that was an interesting article about ADHD and hormones in The Conversation, @Glisten

and yet another piece of information that made me think "I wish I'd known that decades ago!"

In my 20s I remember realising that I was bad at parallel parking when I was premenstrual, which was probably because my ADHD (diagnosed in my mid 50s) and dyspraxia were worse while the progesterone levels were increasing.

now I'm post-menopausal, but looking back I probably had PMDD -- the severe depressive episodes and sui ideation started when I was 11, soon after my periods started.

Re: Wait what did I come into this thread for again? Oh yeah, ADHD!

hi @Glisten and hi everyone @Jynx @Shaz51 @Neuro_Spicy @ArraDreaming @AFK @Former-Member @Paperdaisy (I haven't been active on the forums much, so I'm just tagging a bunch of you to say Hi 🙂)

I think Ms has been around for a couple of hundred years, but only became popular in the 1970s.

yes, I prefer it when companies make it optional to use a title.

Re: Wait what did I come into this thread for again? Oh yeah, ADHD!

Hi @Shaz51 (and hi @RiverSeal what a cool user name!)

do your stepsons and Mr Shaz have any of the other things that often go with ADHD, like anxiety, dyspraxia, being creative with words, being double-jointed/hyperflexible joints...?
