Quote of the day (anything goes)

Re: Quote of the day / quirky poetry (anything goes)

@maddison Really, a no show for you too!

My bottom line .. is people not doing their jobs contributed to 3 family deaths.  The best I can do now ... is keep the b****ds honest or write it on forum so people know the deal.

@Wanderer Good luck with NDIS ... its quite a culture. Make the most of it.

@Wanderer I'm not sure we've chatted before but I'm so glad you've strolled into this conversation because your work sounds fascinating! How do you manage to plan or structure all the elements? I imagine you might have a filing system of sorts? And how do you figure out all the character development?

As an aspiring writer who never seems to find the time to write a thing, I love meeting writers who do rather than plan to do 😊

Re: Quote of the day / quirky poetry (anything goes)

Yes that is scenario here @Appleblossom I'm disappointed that is for sure.

I'm so sorry to hear of the tragic loss of family members, & how the system contributed to that.

Thanks for your support over the last few days. You have been very kind.

Re: Quote of the day (anything goes)

Taken from the Medicine sans Frontiers speech in upon winning the Nobel Peace Prize in 1999:

We are not sure that words can always save lives, but we know that silence can certainly kxll.

And there was more...

Humanitarian action is more than simple generosity, simple charity. It aims to build spaces of normalcy in the midst of what is profoundly abnormal. More than offering material assistance, we aim to enable individuals to regain their rights and dignity as human beings. As an independent volunteer association, we are committed to bringing direct medical aid to people in need. But we act not in a vacuum, and we speak not into the wind, but with a clear intent to assist, to provoke change, or to reveal injustice. Our action and our voice are acts of indignation, a refusal to accept an active or passive assault on the other.
