SUNDAY FUNDAY

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

Thanks @Mazarita 🙂 your day sounds awesome! fun food, friends and the beach - perfect!

mines a little more boring but will be topped off with some late night x-mas shopping, hopefully less people...

you were right @Former-Member the cool change is upon us, and now bucketing with rain so very happy, i hope you guys were able to get out for a bit!

LOVE the tag @Crazy_Bug_Lady very feminine 🙂

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

@Jacques we personally only put them in bulls. However most schools are leaning more and more towards the permanent rings, as it's safer in a school environment.
The nose clips don't come off, I've only pulled a nose clip off an animal once, and that was a young bull running for a sexy young cow Woman LOL and nothing would have stopped him. Once he got his nose ring he quickly learnt he couldn't get away with that sort of thing.

The clips we use look like they'd be tight, but I checked when we first got them, they don't close too hard on my hand.

She's not had any grooming or handling, but while she was in the head bale today getting her new ear tag. I was scratching her head and she was an angel. You know how they usually react when they are caught in the head bales. Woman LOL

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

Oh yes, that must be it, a safety thing for the schools, wow, i thought it would have been better with the perminant ones, but if the nose clips work why not.

Oh my, yes nothing gets in the way of a bull and a lady Smiley Embarassed

Wow she did not balk or start kicking, wow she is a good girl, she must really love and trust you @Crazy_Bug_Lady, Animals are such a good judge of character 🙂

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

We never used permanent rings in ours either

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

oh it must be just where i live, i know our steers where very hard to control, took us a long time to earn their trust, all of the ones here have nose rings, but when we led them in the ring, we did not need to apply pressure, they just walked along, i so miss those days.

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

Hi all Happy Sunday Funday!

I hope that everyone experienced some joy this christmas in whatever form that took (looking at the lights on houses, a christmas movie, time with others or a few moments of genuine peace).

and I hope that all those people and animals effected by the bushfires are physically safe

maybe overly optimistic 😉 but it all starts with one step or action at a time, including compassion for self and others

How is everyone today?

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

It's Sunday!!!

This is literally the first Sunday in months I have had off from the farm. Soooooo boring...

Like an idiot I didn't get my prescriptions last week before the Christmas Chaos. I spent 45 minutes in the chemist waiting for my meds!! And I couldn't wait any longer, I'd run out of my nighttime meds Friday night, and my morning meds yesterday...
While I'm certain I will regret missing my meds for 2/3 days, I feel fine at the moment. I've taken half a tablet (instead of 1.5) of the morning meds, and I'll take my night meds like usual. Hopefully I'll be okay tomorrow, I have work.Woman Indifferent

I bought some coloured book contact to wrap around a cardboard tube. Does anyone have any tips on flattening the contact?? I need to stop it from curling and I want to wrap it length-ways along the tube.
It seemed like a good idea at the shops...Woman LOL

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

what are you building @Crazy_Bug_Lady?

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

Hi @Fancy_Pants I got a show cane for Christmas (like this one)undefined

It came in a long cardboard tube, so I thought if I covered it with blue contact it would be good as a protective container for my cane.

I thought wrapping it with blue book contact (back to school sales ftw!) it would look good. However the contact was rolled up tightly, so I need to flatten it out before I use it...

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

@Crazy_Bug_Lady Ahhh! i love useful presents! great idea

my childhood memory of trying to contact books without getting air bubbles is not so great though... rather than flatten it we used to use a ruler and a box cutter then stretch it tighly very slowly... I dont know if that would work?
