Fun Sunday!!
How has everyone's day been??
I was up at the farm today, and had the bosses 9 year-old nephew down to do some stuff with the cattle. He went with one of the others to a cow, which unfortunately resulted in the poor kid copping a kick to his leg. And the poor kid started crying (fair call) and saying he would never go near a cow again. Not a good thing given he lives on a cattle farm.
But I worked with him, got his confidence up to touch, pat, and finally brush my heifer!
So a pretty good win I thought! So proud of my girl, 4th time on the halter, let me and a kid brush her. And she stood still, which was great for Jack.
They say "never work with kids and animals", but I love working with both. I am hopeful that he can go to a youth camp in July.
He's saying that my heifer is his favourite! So he may take her! Which would be awesome!!
