Hi @Shaz51
thanks for dropping me a line.
Worked last night and again tonight so a little tired, just catching up on the cricket. I am on the DSP and not yet 60, getting closer though, and have had to give away my beloved golf due to back issues, getting older really is such trash. I also was an avid reader once upon a time but find that more challenging now, whether it it related to the schizophrenia and medication for it or something else is hard to say.
Either way one of my greatest challenges is filling my days, but i do enjoy a challenge.
What are your weekend plans?

I am sorry that you have to give away your beloved golf. Yes, getting older is such trash. I am still slightly closer to 50 than 60. I find getting down on the ground is ok but the difficulty is in getting up again.

@Gremlin24 it’s been a little overwhelming but also busy for me over the past couple of days haha. I decide that I’m gonna try and do the remaining 2 (hopefully) units from the other cert 4 course (in this semester) that I did prior to taking the cert 4 of I.T since last year so that I can quickly graduate from that one instead and then move onto picking an undergraduate degree by then hopefully. Just praying to god that I can pass all these 2 (and the 2 new units if I have to undertake them too, but hopefully not) units this semester so that I can just quickly get out of TAFE and move onto undergraduate.
Also, it’s not easy dealing with a parent who refuses to acknowledge what they’ve done wrong to you and yet they call you ridiculous and/or funny when you try to tell them what they did wrong to you. 🥲

@Blackcloud oh wow definitely sounds like a full on time for you, but i have faith that you can do it. Such an exciting adventure ahead of you 😊
That sucks trying to deal with a parent that can't acknowledge what they have done wrong to you and to ridicule you for it. I'm sorry you have to go through that, it's not nice to be made to feel that way.

@Gremlin24 yea, I plan on also taking the cert 4 of I.T alongside with the other cert 4 as well, it’s just that with cert 4 of I.T I’m gonna have to reduce my study load for that one down to just a few units this semester if I want to take the few remaining units on the other cert 4 in this semester as well, so that i can better balance both the cert courses together.
Thank you, I agree - it’s upsetting on how much of a pain and how invalidating parents can be. Even though I’ve moved out of home already, I’ve been thinking that if I was to move and permanently live interstate on my own, then it wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing because that shows that I’m kinda ‘cutting’ away from my mum and the rest of my family that way

@Blackcloud look at you being all organised and knowing exactly what you need and want to do. I take my hat off to you, there's no way I could even contemplate doing what you are doing 😂.
Sometimes putting that distance between you and family can be beneficial. I guess it's alot to weigh up and not a decision to be taken lightly.
