Welcome to the forums. You are absolutely doing this right, I know it can be a bit confusing when making your first post but you're doing fine in that respect.
I'm so sorry to hear about your recent car accident, it sounds as though it has really shaken you which is very understandable.
It looks like your post might have gotten a bit cut off, we're here to listen and support you whenever you feel comfortable to talk a bit more about how you're feeling.

Well done on reaching out, I know it's not easy, but it takes a lot of courage and tenacity to do what you just did.
Car accidents are terrifying and driving again after the accident is really hard, all the what ifs and not being able to control other drivers behaviour, I know that's what scared me most, being so hypervigilant that driving was/is exhausting.
But it's not about me, it's about you, just know that you're not alone in this and you are doing so well and that's something to be proud of

Hi @Littlesloth80, welcome to the group. I'm sorry to hear about you car accident. They can certainly rattle you and really shake your confidence. It's only natural to feel really shaken up at the moment, especially if it's the first accident you've had. So try not to worry too much, it;s only natural that it feels a bit overwhelming to get in a car and drive again. Maybe, once you feel ready, start slow... maybe just driving around the local streets rather than in traffic to begin with. Try to get some of that confidence back, just like you would have done when you were first learning. You generally dont go right into heavy traffic when you're first starting out.
I hope everything else is okay after the accident... no injuries and too much damage to your car.
