thinking of your family @Till23

I have been through lots of cyclones and each one is different

that is good to hear @RiverSeal , yes when we had the flooding we had no trucks could get through with supplies

Re: Cyclone Alfred: Supporting those in QLD..

Hellooo everyone, first time forum user here.. my pronouns are they/them 🙂

I hope everyone is safe and managing life, post cyclone! I’m still processing the mess that was this last week, honestly. I can’t believe it’s Wednesday already.. I was expecting the absolute worst but was incredibly lucky in my part of Brisbane. Didn’t lose power, didn’t get flooded in, didn’t lose my apartment windows (like I seriously feared I would). Even though the concert I’d been emotionally counting on was cancelled, and my bank account is hurting after the cost of getting prepared, I’m feeling so grateful to have had enough money available at the time to prepare to the best of my ability, and that me and my housemate and pets managed to stay safe through out it all!

Thanks for reading 💚

Re: Cyclone Alfred: Supporting those in QLD..

Hello and welcome @artangelf

I'm so glad to hear that your area was relatively lucky in regards to damage! But I hear that even so it's taken a toll and it must've been a very stressful and uncertain time, but as you noted at the end there, it's wonderful that you and those around you (pets included) were able to stay safe through it all

Re: Cyclone Alfred: Supporting those in QLD..

Hey @artangelf , Welcome to the forums. Thank you for sharing.

I guess sometimes we don't realise what's happened/is happening until after when we stand back to survey the 'mess'.

Hope you are all okay.

@oceangirl @Eve7 @Clawde @Shaz51 , we are also thinking of you at this time.
