Thanks @Snowie @Former-Member @Anastasia @outlander @BlueBay ๐ŸŒบ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’•

Thanks for the suggestions also about getting some additional help for hubby. I have organised last week for a referral for an OT to come and do an assessment of hubbys needs. I'm hoping that will happen within a couple of weeks. So that will be a help at least, to both him and me.

Last year when my Mum was so sick (dying) and I was trying to care for hubby here and also try to visit my Mum who was 7 hours drive away. I had spoken to the Dept of Veterans Affairs (for those of you who dont know ... my husband is a Vietnam Veteran) to find out just what services we could receive.

I can get a cleaner, someone to come in to help him daily, or put him into respite (short term) residential care. He is also entitled to have someone come in and stay with him if I need to be away overnight any time. So these services are available for him right now, only a phone call away. Unfortunately they like quite a bit of notice in advance. So that is the difficulty. But it is definitely something I feel I may need to action at some stage.

Although at this stage I dont know where surgery will take place, exactly what surgery will need to be undertaken, or how long I will need to be in. It could be anything from day surgery, a night in hospital, or maybe several nights. So I am not able to plan anything yet.

@Anastasia... I didnt tag anyone, not last night when I needed company, nor when I announced my biopsy results. So it wasnt that I missed tagging you. Actually I have not done an update at all for all to read. Perhaps I will do so later today. I know many (who may be interested) have not yet got my news from yesterday.

So many members have a lot going on too right now, and of course everyone cares about our beloved furbabies. I know I do. If something were to happen to my baby ... I would be completely devastated. And sadly I know my little dog is getting on age-wise. She is 12 already, so her day will come ... way too soon. No matter how old our furbabies get to ... we always want longer with them. So @Zoe7 ... my heart goes out to you with your news today about Cat.

Thank you ... all of you ... for caring about me, and showing it. It really does make a difference.
