That last batch is impressive and comprehensive @avant-garde Thank you very much 

 

I particularly appreciate the detail in the defence mechanisms, the cognitive distortions and calming, neuroscience…. Boundaries…. I looked at DBT a lot about 10 years ago….they were all great tools and very relevant.

 

If any professionals had applied them appropriately I would have been grateful…mostly I had to tolerate them airily making reference to a concept without doing any work and applying it to something specific or helping me to unpack it and do it myself. The only decent ones are my current support worker and I think my current psychologist is beginning to understand me by some of the comments he makes. My psychiatrist doesn’t really have a clue, gets paid the most and can fob me off with generalising about 8 or 9 billion humans, but I need a psychiatrist in the current system, or do I?
