Community Guide

I joined SANE a number of years ago when I was on a train ride on my way home from therapy. It was a 2 hr trip and I’d just picked up a postcard from my therapy clinic. It had ‘SANE Australia’ written on the bottom so I looked it up.

That was when I found the forums. Back then, the forums were a lot quieter and possibly less active.

By being able to support others, I found the mutual benefit. From then, the call came out ‘Do you want to give back’? This was when I jumped at the opportunity to be a Community Guide.

At that time, there were a lot of changes on the forums. I took part in the Bushfire forum, setting up Chatwee for live chats, writing a blog for SANE, providing testimonials, trialling the Open Learning platform for CG training and much more!

SANE has been an incredible part of my recovery and journey. I don’t know where I’d be without SANE forums!
