Am Not Coping

Re: Am Not Coping

Kids are strange creatures @Zoe7!

Ok this is as close as I could find to a laughing one!!

Re: Am Not Coping

Yeah they are @Snowie - who would ever be a teacher LOL

I love the butterfly - it is very cute Smiley LOL I think I may have even raised my arms just like that little butterfly at some stage when I was laughing haha

Re: Am Not Coping

@Zoe7I get asked if I would teach again and I always say yes. I think it is inbred into some of us. The teaching part wasn't the problem. It was the lack of support that was the problem.

Wow, that is a quick mod on tonight. The pic was approved in a sec. Well done to whoever that was, might be a new record!!!! Smiley Tongue

Re: Am Not Coping

That was pretty quick @Snowie but I do remember @Former-Member approving images in record time one night - that is hard to beat but the mod on tonight may have equalled the record - wtg moderator Smiley Very Happy

I think the same Hon - some teachers have it inbuilt within them and that is all they could ever think of doing. My pdoc said the other day that my face lit up when I talked about teaching - but like you it is the lack of support and the endless amounts of paperwork and things that take us away from the actual teaching of the kids that get in the way - that is becoming harder to cope with and really affects me in the day to day stuff.

Re: Am Not Coping

So true @Zoe7 about having it inbuilt into us.

Mmmmm might have to post some more to see how fast the mod really is!!!!!

The support is where I was let down, know this means there will be no chance in going back to where I was teaching....

Re: Am Not Coping

That makes it so much tougher to deal with @Snowie. I am in a different boat - I want to go back to where I was but don't think it will be possible - at least that is the impression I got when I talked to HR - but it was a phone call I was not expecting at the time so I wasn't prepared to ask the questions I needed to - I am finding it difficult to call them back and ask those questions - feel like I have been let down in many regards and feeling let down is one of my major issues to deal with in a wider context so that makes it even harder.

Re: Am Not Coping

@Zoe7could you ask some of those questions tomorrow when you see the principal tomorrow? Or could you send the questions in an email to the HR manager. That way you don't have to speak to them.

Re: Am Not Coping

The Principal passed it on to HR so I doubt she will be helpful. I may not even have to see her tomorrow - I may be able to give the form to the office and then they pass it onto her @Snowie I could ask those questions in an email - I need to get the wording right before I think about sending it though - it may be the best option with the way I am feeling about it all Smiley Sad I suppose I am putting it off too as I don't want the outcome to be what I don't want!

Re: Am Not Coping

An email might be the best way to get your questions answered. I hope for your sake that you can return to the school where you were teaching.

On a side note, I am having trouble typing with someone laying across the keyboard!!!!

Where is Toby?

Re: Am Not Coping

haha gorgeous Izzy @Snowie Toby is laying next to me - he just jumped up to have a drink and came straight back - he is never far away just like Izzy lol What would we do without them!
