Did it! There was packing tape all over the tube, so there was no chance of removing all the bubbles and creases. There's duct tape at the ends and middle to keep the ends of the contact safe. And it looks pretty.

Our first show for the year will be at the end of March, I'll have to put up heaps of pics of her in her pretty gear. I got a $50 voucher from the boss, so I need to get up the nerve to go into the store. I plan to buy a blue workshirt to match all my other gear, maybe two if I can get the timing right with sales.
Ahhhhh!!! Now I've started getting things for showing I am getting excited!!! Actually, I was excited, now I've started writing my stud name I am getting *really* excited.
And I start training her on Sunday!
Way too excited.
I'll probably be nervous as hell on the day, but whooo!!!

Hahaha @Jacques fingers crossed!
The only thing is I haven't bought her the leather show halter yet. So I'll either borrow a set, or take her in the ring on her ropes...
I'd buy custom ones (with a blue leather braid ) so they'll cost around $300... I'd rather go without for the early shows and buy her an adult set that'll fit her at the end of the year and beyond.

their are some nice show halter's on ebay here is a link to the show halters if you want to look:
My goodness she is a spoilt little thing :), she will not know herself, she is going to be so pretty, i know why you are so excited, i am sure she will lead well, as she just follows you around anyway 😄
please post a pic with all her gear on, she will look so cute.
do you paint her hoofs and all, like the show horses?
I have been watching the cattle here all day, they have been chasing the cockatoos around the paddock, now they are head butting, so cute.

I can borrow one of the bosses halters for showing if I want, but I'm happy to show her on her bright blue ropes for the first two shows. The link you sent also has rope halters from the person I'll be getting my leathers from! This is the halter I want to get. The other three studs I work with (the boss and my two friends) have the same in their colours, you should see how they stand out in the show ring. Totally worth it, they're well made, and we ask for the leather leads to be replaced with rope. Saves our hands, and we have a better grip. She can also repair them, we only pay shipping back to her.
